Name Change & Expansion
Bank of Eureka Springs Changes Name, Expands to Berryville
Charlie Cross, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Eureka Springs, is pleased to announce that, pending regulatory approval, effective Fall 2008, the bank will change its name to Cornerstone Bank. Along with this change, the bank will be expanding its service area with the opening of a new, full-service facility in Berryville.
"We are proud of our long and rich history of being a locally owned and operated bank for 96 years. Our commitment to the financial success of our clients, our history of service, sound management, and committed employees have been the backbone of our bank's growth and success," Cross said. "Thus, being mindful of these ideals, we are very excited about both of these endeavors. "
The name Cornerstone Bank was chosen because it demonstrates the bank's long history and strong foundation, while representing the institution's desire to grow with innovative and progressive products and services. "Our new name allows for greater expansion capability, and greater cohesion for our differing markets. We do have plans to open additional facilities in other markets in the future. It will be one bank, with one name, offering more locations and more convenience." Cross went on to say, "The name change is simply that – a change of our institution's name. Everything else that makes this bank the #1 choice for banking in our immediate markets will remain the same – our ownership, our management team, and our fantastic staff who provide a level of service second to none. Simply stated, we feel this change will allow our institution better means to continue the phenomenal growth of the last 10 years."
"Berryville and its surrounding areas are dynamic and growing" states Cross. "It's an environment where Cornerstone Bank can really thrive by continuing to offer outstanding financial and niche services – much like our innovative Reward Checking account, our Internet cafés, and our expertise in real estate and small business lending. It will expand our corporate footprint and allow all of our clients greater convenience by adding an additional facility to conduct their banking business no matter where they live or work."
